Unlimited User Accounts
Opinio is licensed per server installation, not per user seat. Create as many user accounts as your organisation needs — from a handful of researchers to hundreds of department-level survey authors — at no extra cost.
- •Each user has their own login credentials and a personal workspace.
- •Administrators can create, enable, disable, or delete user accounts from a central management panel.
- •User accounts can be grouped into teams or departments for easier permission management.
Hierarchical Survey Organisation
Surveys are organised in a hierarchical folder structure — similar to a file system — so large collections of surveys stay manageable.
- •Create folders and sub-folders to mirror your organisation's department or project structure.
- •Permissions cascade down the folder tree — set permissions once at the folder level and they apply to all surveys within.
- •Move surveys between folders without affecting their data, settings, or sharing configuration.
Fine-Grained Permission Matrix
Opinio's permission system lets you grant exactly the right level of access to each user or group — nothing more, nothing less.
- •Create — permission to create new surveys in a folder.
- •Edit — permission to modify survey questions and settings.
- •View results — permission to view reports and response data without being able to edit the survey design.
- •Publish — permission to publish or unpublish surveys.
- •Administer — full control over the folder, including managing sub-folder permissions.
- •Permissions can be granted to individual users or to groups, making role-based access control straightforward to maintain.
Survey Sharing & Collaboration
Opinio supports collaborative survey authoring, allowing multiple team members to work on the same survey together.
- •Share a survey with another user and assign them specific permissions (e.g., edit but not publish).
- •Shared image and resource libraries mean assets uploaded by one user are immediately available to all permitted users.
- •An audit trail records who made changes to a survey and when, supporting accountability and compliance requirements.
LDAP / Active Directory Integration
For enterprise deployments, Opinio can authenticate users against your existing LDAP directory or Microsoft Active Directory — eliminating the need to manage a separate set of credentials.
- •Users log in with their existing corporate username and password.
- •LDAP groups can be mapped to Opinio user groups for automatic permission inheritance.
- •When a user is disabled in Active Directory, their Opinio access is automatically revoked.
- •Supports LDAP over SSL (LDAPS) for secure directory queries.
